About Manasquan:
Manasquan is a Borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The borough's name is of Lenni Lenape origin, Man - A - Squaw - Han (stream of the Island of Squaws). Today, Manasquan remains one of the top New Jersey Shore getaways. Manasquan offers fishing in the ocean and river, as well as one entire beach devoted to the needs of the handicapped. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Manasquan as its 22nd best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey.
It was once said that Manasquan was a fine community for two things - to make a living and to enjoy life. This is every bit as true today, as Manasquan's 6,310 residents enjoy living in a classic American town of thriving businesses, good schools, civic responsibility, and happy families - alongside the ocean, river, lakes, streams, and brooks that make Manasquan unique.
Education:
The Manasquan Public Schools serve students from K-12th grade. Schools in the district are Manasquan Elementary School for grades K-8 and Manasquan High School, the home of The Warriors, for grades 9-12. In addition to students from Manasquan, the high school serves students from Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Brielle, Lake Como, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights who attended Manasquan High School as part of sending/receiving relationships with their respective districts. Manasquan Public Schools are across from each other on Broad Street.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6,310 people, 2,600 households, and 1,635 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4,579.6 people per square mile (1,765.4/km2). There were 3,531 housing units at an average density of 2,562.7/sq mi (987.9/km2). There were 2,600 households out of which 29.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them.
